Once upon a time....

Once upon a time, I had a blog... and with this blog, I tried to make weekly posts but, school got in the way. Well guess what? I'm back. I've finally got school under control and now I can dedicate a few minutes a week to my blog. :D Aaaand, I'm back with an e.l.f. haul! I'm sure you've heard of it right? Well in case you haven't, e.l.f. is a super cheap make up brand that is usually sold at Target and at eyeslipsface(dot) com. I've actually seen a few e.l.f. products at Walgreens and WalMart but any who, they have a variety of make up; and the best part is that everything is pretty much under 5 bucks!! Amazing right? Right? Ok! Now onto the haul, (I purchased everything with my own money btw)

Here are my e.l.f goodies!!!
I purchased (in no particular order):
Studio Blush Brush (reeeally soft! Love it!)
Maximum Coverage Concealer in Beige
HD blushes in: Diva, Superstar, Headliner
Baked blush in Peachy Cheeky
Baked Bronzer in St. Lucia
Mineral Eyeshadows in: Seductive, Wild, Caffeinated, Celebrity, Bronzed,
Confident, and Enchanting.

Would ya like swatches?

Diva, Headliner, Superstar

L: Baked blush in peachy cheeky
R: Baked bronzer in St. Lucia

Mineral eyeshadows
Top row: Seductive (matte), Bronzed, Wild
Middle:Caffeinated, Confident, Enchanting
Bottom: Celebrity

HD blushes from top to bottom:
Superstat
Headliner
Diva

The baked bronzer is on top (St. Lucia) but it's reeeally light on my tan skin so I'll probably use it as a highlighter or something. The baked blush is peachy cheeky (bottom).

That's my e.l.f. haul! Hope you enjoyed! If you have any questions or if you'd like me to give an in depth review of any of these products, don't hesitate on asking me!! Or any products for that matter!

Avon Haul!

So I recently purchased a few things from Avon and I decided to post them
here! I got one of what I believe was Avon's holiday collection
Sequins and Shine nail polish in Gleaming Gold. It's such a gorgeous
gold color and if anyone knows me, I love anything gold. Then I
purchased two Ultra Color Rich lipsticks in Sheer Naturale
(A gorgeous creamy nude) and Twinkle Pink. I love these lipsticks.
They go on so smooth and they last a good while. I also ordered 3 chapsticks
and one tinted lipbalm. I absolutely loved the Moisture Therapy chapstick.
It's unscented and it goes on very smoothly. After two days of using it,
I noticed such a big difference on my lips. The Dew Kiss chapstick
wasn't my favorite. It has sort of like a "grandma perfume" scent.
It doesn't bother me much but I don't really care for the scent either.
When I put it on, it somewhat looked like I put a bit of lipgloss, which is nice
but I really prefer the Moisture Therapy chapstick. Next is a Valentine's day edition chapstick in a yummy vanilla scent. The reason I got it is because it's vanilla
scented and I loooooove vanilla! I also purchased a Mark. tinted lip balm
in Quite Cute. If you don't know, Mark. is another brand from Avon
that sells clothes, make up, etc. for younger women. The lip balm
is nice and pretty pigmented but I noticed that whenever I wear
it, my lips tend to feel somewhat dry. It's a good lip balm to keep in your purse
and use it on those days when you're in a hurry and don't
have enough time to put make up on. Just apply some mascara, lip balm
and a tad bit of gloss and youre good to go!
I also got the Mark. Touch & Glow palette. Let me tell you, I looooove
this sooo much! I swirl a contour brush and apply it on my
cheek bones and it gives me the most amazing sun kissed glow ever!
I definetly recommened this palette! The last thing I purchased was
the Mark. Get A Handle On It bag. Like oh my goodness! The second I
saw this purse, I just HAD to have it! It definetley screams rocker chic.
I love anything rocker chic. I love all the details, the studs, spikes, chains
just everything! It reminds of a Balenciaga purse but I
honestly can't remember which one!

So that's my haul, hope you enjoyed! If you'd like swatches or a
more in depth review of a certain product, let me know!!!

Take care!

Leopard!

Don't you just looove Leopard print? I do! I know I haven't posted
in a very long time, but I've been sooo busy with getting ready for college.
I've been so busy I haven't had any time to make any designs on
my nails. Can you believe that? Now that I've gotten everything I need
for school, I managed to find some time to do a cute leopard print design on my nails.
I've always sucked at doing leopard print but these are probably the most
decent ones I've ever made lol.

These are the products I used! (I forgot to add a basecoat! Yikes!!)
I used Revlon Gray Suede for my all over color (This color is gorgeous!!)
Then I added 3-4 dots of Nicole by O.P.I in The Next CEO, and finally with my
black nail art polish from Kiss, I added random wiggles to create the leopard print design.
Once it was all dry, I added my favorite top coat from Rimmel and viola!
Hope you enjoyed!

A Simple Day

Hey guys! I recently did my nails in a very simple but pretty way.
I love this combination, it's a very pretty berry color
with some berry colored glitter.

First I used my Nutra Nail Mineral Nail Care and massaged
it into my nails and cuticles. Then I added my usual
Maybelline Salon Expert Base Coat to prevent staining.
Then I added two coats of Borghese Nail Lacquer in
Berry Confezione. Once I let that dry I added one
coat of L.A. Colors nail glitter in Glistening Purple.
Then finally, just a coat my fav top coat Rimmel Lasting
Finish Pro, and that's it! Enjoy!!

More Glitter!

Once again more glitter! I looove glitter! Who doesn't?
Also I didn't have much time to do my nails so I went ahead
and did a quick and simple (yet pretty!) nail look.
I hate walking around with chipped nail polish or
even worse, no nail polish at all!

These are the products I used!
Before anything, I used my Nutra Nail Mineral nail care
to help my nails from breaking and chipping.
I put some my nails and cuticles and massage it
into my nails for about 10 seconds.
As a base coat I used my Maybelline Salon Expert
Top & Base coat. I used Sinful colors in Easy Going,
this is one of my favorite Sinful Colors nail
polish, it's a very light baby pink and it's really
opaque in just one coat. Then I add my
favorite chunky glitter nail polish from
Milani in Gold. I have a lot of different
glitter nail polishes but this one is my fav!
Then I added my Maybelline Salon Expert
Top & Base coat as my top coat and viola!
I reeally love this look I hope you did too!!

Glitter, Glitter, Glitter!!!

Don't you just love glitter? I know i do!!!
I was actually in a hurry and I really didn't
have much time to do my nails but I would
never ever leave the house without doing my
nails! So I figured let me do them really
quick! I was just going to paint them black
but I had a few minutes to spare so I added
some gold glitter! Whenever I do my nails, I
feel so weird if I have one solid color. Like,
I feel like I can't stand out. So I always add
something to them. I love the way they came out.

Here are the colors I used! I used my Maybelline
Salon Expert base and top coat as a base coat, (usually
if I don't wear a base coat under a dark color
it'll stain my nails !) Then I used my Sinful
Colors nail polish in What's your name which is
a beautiful black, it has very fine blue, green, yellow
shimmers to it. Then I just some gold glitter from
Milani which is called Gold. Then I added a
topcoat and that's it!!

So I hope you guys enjoyed this nail post! Stay
tuned for more!

Girl Up!

Did you know that in many countries around
the world, 1 in 7 girls will be married against
her will before she turns 15?
Imagine yourself being 15 years old and being
forced into an arranged marriage, wouldn't
that suck? When you're 15 you want to enjoy
yourself and have fun with your friends and
learn new things, but there are many girls
who don't get that option. When I was 15
I went to school, hung out with my friends
and I had a few chores around the house
but it was nothing major yet I still
complained. Little did I know that there were
(and still are!) so many girls in developing
countries who wished they had the life I did.
Some girls are sold to older gentlemen
by their parents and even by their siblings
for money. These girls have to give up on school
and their dreams just to help their families
or in some cases their new husbands...
Some have to wake up extremely early
and walk long periods of time just to
get a bucket of water for their families
to drink. They have to take care of
their siblings, run errands,
make breakfast, sweep floors, wash
clothes and so much more. Since the
house work is so much for them they
have to give up school and their dreams
of being doctors, teachers and counselors.
Doesn't this seem unfair? Now imagine how they feel.
So join me in this fight to help stop this
madness. Go to Girlup .Org and sign up and
sign the petition. With your signature you can make
a huge difference! We're girls and we need to
protect each other!

Just like how GirlUp says
"We are strong, but together we are stronger"

Laura
